Browsing & Search
Homepage
The homepage highlights featured products, active promotions, and popular categories. It's the best place to discover new arrivals and ongoing deals at a glance.
Browsing by category
Use the navigation menu or the homepage category blocks to filter products by type. Each category page shows all relevant products and may offer additional filters (price range, availability, etc.).
Search
Click the search icon in the header and type a product name or keyword. Results appear instantly. You can refine results using the available filters on the search results page.
Product page
On a product page you can:
- View all images and zoom in for detail
- Select variants such as size, colour, or other options
- Read the full description, specifications, and reviews
- See current stock availability
- Add the item to your cart or wishlist
Out of stock? Click "Notify me when available" and enter your email. You'll receive an alert as soon as the item is restocked.
Recently viewed
The store may show a "Recently viewed" section on the homepage or product pages so you can quickly return to items you were considering. You can clear this history from your account settings.
Leaving a review
If you are logged in and have purchased a product, you can leave a star rating and written review on its page. Other customers can mark your review as helpful.
Account & Login
Having an account lets you save addresses, view order history, use the wishlist, top up your wallet, and check out faster. You can still place orders as a guest at most stores.
Creating an account
Click Sign in in the header, then choose Create account. Depending on how this store is configured, you may see one or more of these options:
Email & Password
Enter your name, email, and a password. Verify your email address via the link sent to your inbox.
Continue with Google
Sign up instantly using your Google account — no password needed.
Continue with Facebook
Sign up instantly using your Facebook account — no password needed.
Logging in
Click Sign in in the header and use the same method you registered with — email & password, phone OTP, or your social account. If you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on your account, you will be asked to enter a verification code after your password. This adds an extra layer of security.
Forgot your password?
On the login page, click Forgot password?
Choose to receive a reset link by email or a code by phone (OTP)
Check your inbox or messages and follow the link or enter the code
Set your new password and log in
Not receiving the email? Check your spam/junk folder. The OTP or link expires after a few minutes — request a new one if needed.
Account verification
Some stores require you to verify your email address or phone number before you can fully use your account. Follow the on-screen instructions after registration. You can request a new verification link or OTP if yours has expired.
Cart
Adding items
On any product page, select your preferred variant (if applicable) and click Add to cart. The cart icon in the header updates with the item count. You can add multiple products before checking out.
Managing your cart
Open the cart using the cart icon in the header. From the cart page you can:
- Change quantity — use the +/− buttons next to each item
- Remove an item — click the remove/delete icon
- Move to wishlist — save an item for later (requires login)
- Apply a promo code — see the Offers & Promo Codes section below
Your cart is saved while you're logged in, so you can continue shopping and come back later without losing your items.
Offers & Promo Codes
Sarafu Store runs a variety of promotions to help you save. Here's what each type means:
% Discount
A percentage off the product or order total (e.g. 20% off). The saving is calculated automatically at checkout.
Fixed Amount Off
A fixed amount deducted from your cart (e.g. TZS 5,000 off orders above TZS 50,000).
Buy X Get Y
Buy a set quantity of a product and receive additional items free or at a discount (e.g. Buy 2, Get 1 Free).
Bundle Deal
Buy a specific combination of products together for a better price than purchasing them individually.
Flash Sale
A time-limited deal with a countdown timer. Act fast — flash sales end when the timer runs out or stock sells out.
Volume Discount
The more you buy, the more you save. Discount tiers kick in automatically when you add the qualifying quantity to your cart.
First-Time Buyer
A special discount for customers placing their very first order on the store. Applied automatically if you qualify.
Birthday / Anniversary
Special offers sent to you on or around your birthday or account anniversary. Keep your profile up to date to receive these.
How to apply a promo code
Add items to your cart and open the Cart page
Find the "Have a promo code?" field (usually below the item list)
Type your code exactly as given (codes are not case-sensitive) and click Apply
The discount is shown in your order summary. If the code is invalid or conditions are not met, an error message will explain why
Promo codes may have conditions: a minimum order value, specific products, one use per customer, or an expiry date. Check the promotion details if your code isn't applying.
Checkout & Payment
Placing an order — step by step
Review your cart — confirm items, quantities, and any applied promo codes, then click Proceed to checkout
Delivery details — enter or select a saved shipping address and contact details
Shipping method — choose standard, express, or same-day delivery (options and costs vary)
Payment — select your payment method (see below) and complete the payment step
Confirm — review the full order summary including taxes and shipping, then place your order
Confirmation — you'll see a success page with your order number and may receive a confirmation email
Payment methods
Store Wallet
Use your pre-loaded wallet balance. Fast, no extra steps. Requires sufficient balance.
Mobile Money (AzamPay)
Pay via mobile money — enter your mobile number and provider, then confirm the push notification on your phone.
Taxes & shipping costs
Shipping costs and applicable taxes are calculated and shown clearly in your order summary before you confirm. You will never be charged more than what you see on the confirmation screen.
After placing your order
Once your order is placed you'll receive an on-screen confirmation and an order number. Keep this number — you'll need it to track your order or request a return. A confirmation email is sent to the address you provided.
Orders & Tracking
Viewing orders (logged-in customers)
Go to Account → Orders to see a full list of your past and current orders. Click any order to see its details — items ordered, shipping address, payment method, and current status. You can also download the invoice as a PDF from the order detail page.
Order status lookup (without an account)
No account? No problem. Find the Order Status link in the store footer. Enter your order number and the email address you used when ordering, and you'll see the current status of your order.
Order statuses explained
Your order was received and is awaiting confirmation or payment.
The store has confirmed your order and is preparing it.
Your order is on its way. A tracking number may be provided.
Your order has been delivered to the address provided.
The order was cancelled. Contact support if this was unexpected.
Returns & Refunds
Not satisfied with your order? You can request a return. Returns are subject to the store's return policy and return window (check the Help Center for this store's specific policy).
Requesting a return — with an account
Go to Account → Orders and open the order you want to return
Click Request Return on the order detail page
Select the item(s) you want to return and choose a reason
Add any notes or photos if required, then submit the request
The store will review your request and contact you with next steps
Requesting a return — without an account
Find the Returns link in the footer or go to the Order Status lookup page
Enter your order number and the email address used when ordering
Follow the same steps above — select items, provide a reason, and submit
Return requests must be submitted within the store's return window. Refunds are processed according to the store's policy — visit the Help Center for full details.
Wishlist
The wishlist lets you save products you like so you can buy them later. You must be logged in to use the wishlist.
- Add to wishlist — click the heart icon on any product card or product page
- View your wishlist — open the wishlist from the header icon or Account menu
- Move to cart — from your wishlist, click Add to cart next to any saved item to purchase it
- Remove items — click the remove/heart icon again to take a product off your wishlist
- Move from cart — in the cart, you can also move an item back to your wishlist if you're not ready to buy yet
My Account
Access all account sections from the header by clicking your name or profile icon. Here's what each section does:
Profile
Update your name, email address, phone number, and profile picture. Keeping this information current ensures you receive order updates and can use all store features.
Orders
View a full list of your orders, see order details, check status, and download invoices as PDFs.
Addresses
Add, edit, or delete saved shipping addresses. Saved addresses speed up checkout — just select one instead of typing it each time.
Notifications
Control which emails and messages you receive — order updates, promotional offers, restocking alerts, and more.
Security
Change your password and enable or disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). With 2FA on, you'll be asked for a verification code each time you log in, protecting your account even if your password is compromised.
Sessions & Devices
See all devices where your account is currently signed in. You can revoke access to any individual session or sign out of all other devices at once — useful if you've logged in on a shared or public computer.
Wallet
Sarafu Store offers a store wallet — a prepaid balance linked to your account that you can use to pay for orders quickly without going through mobile money each time.
Checking your balance
Go to Account → Wallet to see your current balance and a full transaction history including top-ups and purchases paid with your wallet.
Topping up your wallet
Go to Account → Wallet and click Add Funds
Enter the amount you want to add (you can pick from preset amounts or enter a custom amount)
Click Proceed — you'll be taken to the payment page
Enter your mobile number and select your mobile money provider
Confirm the payment prompt on your phone. Your wallet balance updates automatically once payment is confirmed
Paying with your wallet
During checkout, select Pay with Wallet as your payment method. As long as your balance covers the order total, the payment is instant. If your wallet balance is less than the order total, you'll need to top up first or choose another payment method.
Wallet security (2FA)
Before using your wallet for top-ups, you may be asked to verify your identity with a two-factor authentication (2FA) code. This is a one-time verification per session to protect your funds. Enter the code sent to your registered phone or email to continue.

We value your honest feedback and make it easy to share — no account or login required.
How to submit feedback
- 1. Scroll to the bottom of any page and click "Feedback" in the footer bar.
- 2. Rate your experience (1–5 stars) and select a category — General, Product, Delivery, Website, Suggestion, or Complaint.
- 3. Write your message (at least 5 characters).
- 4. Optionally add your email if you'd like a response.
- 5. Click "Submit Feedback" — that's it!
Your privacy
All feedback is anonymous by default. We do not track your identity. If you choose to share your email, it is only used to respond to you directly and is never shared with third parties.
Guided Tours
New to the platform? Our interactive guided tours walk you through every key feature step by step — right on the page, no reading required.
How tours work
- 1. When you first visit a page, a tour may start automatically, highlighting key areas with a spotlight and short explanation.
- 2. Use Next and Back buttons (or arrow keys) to navigate between steps.
- 3. Press Escape or the × button to close a tour at any time.
- 4. Once completed, a tour won't auto-start again — but you can always replay it.
Replaying a tour
Look for the "?" button in the bottom-right corner of every page. Click it to see all available tours. Tours you've already completed show a checkmark, and you can restart any of them with a single click.

Troubleshooting
I can't log in — what should I do?
Check that your email and password are correct (passwords are case-sensitive). If you've forgotten your password, use Forgot password? on the login page. Make sure you're using the same login method you registered with — if you signed up with Google, you can't log in with email & password.
I didn't receive my OTP or verification email
Check your spam or junk folder. OTPs expire after a few minutes — click Resend on the verification page to get a new one. Make sure your email address or phone number is entered correctly. If the issue persists, contact the store's support.
My promo code isn't working
Double-check the code spelling — even though codes are not case-sensitive, extra spaces cause errors. Confirm the code hasn't expired and that your order meets all conditions (minimum spend, eligible products, one use per customer). If everything looks right, contact the store for help.
My payment failed
For mobile money payments, ensure you have sufficient balance and that you approve the push notification on your phone. Check you've entered the correct phone number and provider. Try again after a minute — sometimes there's a short delay from the network. If it keeps failing, try a different payment method or contact the store.
I can't find my order
When using the Order Status lookup, make sure you're entering the exact order number and the email address used when placing the order. If you have an account, log in and check Account → Orders — all orders placed while logged in will appear there.
My wallet top-up didn't reflect
It can take a few minutes for mobile money payments to be confirmed. Refresh your wallet page after 2–3 minutes. If the amount still hasn't reflected after 10 minutes and it was deducted from your mobile money account, contact the store's support with your transaction reference number.
I want to change or cancel my order
Order changes and cancellations depend on the store's policy and how far along the order is. Contact the store's support as soon as possible — the sooner you reach out, the better the chances of making a change before it ships. Use the Help Center or contact details in the store's footer.
I want to delete my account
Account deletion requests should be made through the store's support or contact form. The store will process the request in accordance with their privacy policy.
